Coastal Portsmouth New Hampshire Cottage: Shop the Look

Inspired by a recent Fiore Interiors design project in downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire, this edit captures the charm of a compact historic cottage with playful New England color, pattern and relaxed coastal style.

This was our third time working with this family and our design represents their color preferences and captures a bit of what they enjoy-down to earth, durable, beautiful design.

Long Sands Dining Chair

This chair features woven Danish cord back, light oak legs and a plush white seat cushion. We personalized the seat cushion, recovering it in an indoor/outdoor fabric with a funky pattern. The texture of the woven materials really makes this dining chair balance out all the wood elements in the room.

The Everything Bench

We call this the everything bench because it goes with everything, in every room. We’ve used it in foyers, breakfast books, and—in this historic cottage—we put it at the end of a bed.

Raffia Dresser

Featuring six drawers and elegantly wrapped in raffia this dresser blends seamlessly into both modern and classic interiors. Accented with bronzed bar hardware and leg accents.

We wrapped a small bedroom with patterned blue and white grasscloth wallpaper, transforming the space. We added a custom glass top. By using texture and color, it feels luxurious, like a hotel.

We truly believe your bedroom should be your sanctuary—your beautiful space to rest, recharge, and wake up with joy.

Bayside Chest

This best selling chest is a stunner with its blue seagrass wrapped body and long acrylic pulls. Built in electrical functionality to charge ALL the things. This room really didn’t have room for a traditional dresser, so this added the storage we needed for guests. We’ve also used this in foyers and living rooms, too.

The grasscloth (seagrass) is similar to wallpaper. It has bits of blue, tan, cream, and white. The dimension that it adds to a room can really only be found in that type of natural material.

Georgetown Bed

We loved the stunning woven Danish cord details on the headboard and footboard. Made from oak solids and finished in a warm, mid toned wood stain, it was our centerpiece for this guest bedroom.

Available in King and Queen sizes.

Port Clyde Chest

Abaca rope wraps the exterior and drawer fronts for a cheeky nod to coastal. This chest features two drawers with wood on the interior of the drawers, and oversized rope pulls.

Our design team wanted to have some fun with a historic cottage right by a shipping port with deep New England roots. From boats to oysters-the part of the east coast is so much fun!

The rest of the room had very modern lines and pieces to balance it all. We created a storage nook near the front door to hold mittens and hats. Quality is key when you work with rope wrapped furniture. The cheap stuff WILL fall apart quickly, so we chose a classic design from one of our most trusted suppliers.

Blending New England modern coastal style with relaxed and calm, this collection captures the charm and ease of historic cottage life by the sea.
